Day 16: A little elf pampering

Now that I'm well again, I could make it to the store and finally pick up some plain popcorn kernels. I like the look of popcorn strands on the Christmas tree. Clyde must have gone through the pantry while we were sleeping, because he clearly got into them.

He didn't pop them for a snack though!

Silly, silly elf! Well, I hope he enjoys his "spa" day. :)

If your elf could use a spa day, make sure you use plain popcorn kernels and not prepackaged flavored popcorn. You don't want your elf to get some of that tasty, but oily "butter" flavor all over his red suit. If you don't have an air popper, don't worry! You can still pop it in the microwave. Put about a 1/4 of a cup of kernels in a brown lunch bag. Or, in our case, a white Disney princess lunch bag. Fold the top of the bag over 2 or 3 times, then put it in the microwave. Every microwave is different, I just set ours for 2 minutes and watch carefully. Burnt popcorn is a nasty smell and very hard to get rid of! After about 1 minute 30 secs the bag was full and the popping sound was slowing down. Plus, the bottom had ripped open and popped corn was shooting out!

Voila! Spa day for Clyde! :)
